Time to work harder.

You guys, these past couple weeks have been kicking my butt.
I’m currently taking a break from powering through a 12 page research paper with a slight fever and an allergy-fogged brain.
Fingers crossed that I get everything done this week and my work replacement comes through, so I can take a mini-vacation this weekend to visit my family.

I wish my workspace was as glamorous as that first photo.

I have never had good skin, and at 20 years of age it’s getting a bit old. I’ve started medication for it, but all it’s done so far is make my face both broken out and severely dry. So while I’m waiting for these stupid pills to kick in, I’ve researched some homemade face mask recipes to try out.

natural ingredients good for treating acne:

  • Aloe Vera
  • Apple
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Basil
  • Brewer’s Yeast
  • Carrot
  • Chamomile
  • Cinnamon
  • Clay
  • Comfrey
  • Cucumber
  • Egg white
  • Honey
  • Grape seed oil
  • Green Tea
  • Lemon
  • Mint
  • Nettle
  • Oatmeal
  • Orange
  • Papaya
  • Pineapple
  • Red wine
  • Rose water
  • Rosemary
  • Sea salt
  • Seaweed
  • Strawberries
  • Tea Tree Oil
  • Tomato
  • Turmeric
  • Willow bark

banana face mask:
mix one banana, one tbsp of honey,
and a few drops of juice from an orange or lemon;
apply to face for 15 minutes

strawberry acne mask:
mash together 1/4 cup strawberries and
1/4 cup of non-flavored yogurt or sour cream;
spread on face for 10-15 minutes

simple mask for oily skin:
apply milk of magnesia to face for 10-15 minutes
